1. Who we are
Opticware sells digital software licenses through this website. We are the merchant of record for your purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe").
Because this is a virtual product, we do not collect a shipping address. Stripe may collect a billing address if the payment method requires it.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the site and the product, we may process:
- Account and license data: username, license key, plan, expiry, and license status
- Device data used to protect the key: hardware identifier (HWID) and related checks
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic server logs when you load the site or sign in
- Support messages you send on Discord or other channels we list
- Basic technical data when you load the site or sign in
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it to run ads on this site.
3. Payments and Stripe
When you pay, Stripe collects and processes payment details (for example card number, expiry, CVC, and billing information). We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded, an amount, a currency, a Stripe payment or customer reference, and the email or name Stripe shares with us for the order.
Stripe's use of data is covered by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Chargebacks and disputes are also handled through Stripe.
4. What stays on your computer
Configs you save in the app (for example under Documents\Opticware) live on your PC unless you export them. We do not host your recoil configs in the cloud.
The overlay, stream-proof setting, and in-app theme stay local unless a setting is stored with your license on our side for login.
5. Why we use data
We use this information to deliver the key after checkout, keep the license valid, stop sharing and fraud, provide support, improve the product, and meet accounting or legal duties. The legal bases are performing the contract you start at checkout, our legitimate interest in securing licenses, and legal obligations where they apply.
6. How long we keep it
License and payment records are kept for as long as the key is active and for a reasonable period after (including tax and dispute windows). Support logs are kept as long as needed to resolve the issue. Server logs are rotated on a normal schedule. You can ask us to delete account data that we are not required to keep.
7. Sharing
We share data with:
- Stripe, to take payment and handle refunds or disputes
- Hosting and security providers that run this website
- Authorities if the law requires it
We do not share your data with Facepunch, Steam, or other game companies as part of checkout.
8. Cookies and similar
This site does not use advertising cookies. If we later add login sessions, those cookies are only for running the site. Your browser can clear cookies at any time.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to some processing. To use those rights, contact us through the footer Contact or Discord links. We may need to verify that the request comes from the license holder.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The product is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
