1. Digital product
Opticware is a virtual product: a software license key delivered electronically. There is no box, no disk, and no shipping. After Stripe confirms payment, you get instant access. The license is consumed when it is issued and can be used immediately.
By completing checkout you ask us to start delivery right away. Once the key is delivered, the purchase is complete.
2. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method. We do not send cash, crypto, or store credit in place of a Stripe refund unless we both agree in writing. Stripe timing (often several business days) is outside our control.
3. 24-hour setup refund
If the product does not run on your machine, message support within 24 hours of purchase. If we cannot get it running after you follow our setup steps, you get a full refund. No forms, no waiting, as stated on the pricing page and FAQ.
This window exists so we can fix a real setup problem. It is not a trial and not a "changed my mind" period after the key already works.
4. What is not refunded
After the 24-hour setup window, or once the product is running on your PC, we do not refund for:
- change of mind, unused days on weekly or monthly, or switching to another plan
- not liking the product, a game patch, or a playstyle
- in-game bans, reports, or action taken by Facepunch, Steam, or anyone else
- your own hardware, Windows, antivirus, or network issues after we have confirmed the app runs
- key sharing, HWID spoofing, or breaking the Terms
- chargebacks opened instead of contacting support first
Lifetime licenses follow the same 24-hour setup rule. Lifetime is not a money-back guarantee for as long as you own a PC.
5. EU and similar consumer rules
Where a 14-day withdrawal right would otherwise apply to distance sales, it does not apply to digital content once delivery has started with your agreement and you have been told that you lose that right. Checkout is that agreement. If a mandatory local law gives you a right we cannot waive, that law still applies and we will honor it.
6. Chargebacks
Contact us before you dispute a Stripe charge. A chargeback after a delivered key is treated as a license breach. We may close the key and share order details with Stripe to respond to the dispute.
7. How to ask
Use Discord or Contact from the footer. Include the email or Stripe receipt from checkout and a short note (for a setup refund: what happens when you launch, Windows version, and any error text). We refund the original amount, not extra bank or conversion fees your provider charged.
